[Solved (Intel GPU issue)] access violation. the program is not working
Hi!
My computer settings is:
OS: Windows 8 Single Language (6.2)
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz (8 Logical Cores)
Mem Total: 8,08 GB Free: 5,74 GB
GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 @ OpenGL 4.0.0 - Build 9.17.10.2857
Max Texrure Size: 8192 Max Output Size: 8192
Screen resolution: 1366 x 768
When I open the program "Expressii" A message appears: "access violation at address 613f62ff in module 'ig7icd32,dll' read at address 000 000 4"
After that, the program must be closed through the Task Manager, since this message is repeated again and again

Re: [Solved (Intel GPU issue)] access violation. the program is not working
Hi,
Thanks for reporting. I just tested with the following spec:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4200U CPU @ 1.60GHz
Mem Free/Total: 561.59 MB / 3.76 GB
GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400; GL 4.3.0 - Build 10.18.14.4414
I can draw and save artwork without problem. I think your driver is not up-to-date. We've put links to driver updates in our Support page:

access violation. the problem was solved
Thank you for your advice. I did the following
1) updated the windows from 8 to 8.1
2) updated drivers for video cards built-in and discrete,
3) put the priority of high performance in the settings of a discrete graphics card for "expressii"
And the problem was solved!

Great to hear it now works! The discrete GPU should will do better in terms of performance and driver functionality than the old integrated GPU.
BTW, I think it's probably a good idea to upgrade to Win10, because win8 is not very well done.
