About S-Pen, Intel hd630 gpu and licence transfer

Hi,

As you know, I am very happy to use Expresii. It is awesome and very usefull for water color painting.

I want to change  my laptop.

Now, I am using İntel i3 4th gen. and Hd 4400 with wacom bamboo (CTH470) pen. Hd4400 is not enough for me. I must work on small size and export time is too long.

I want to buy SAMSUNG GALAXY BOOK SM-W720

Do you have any experience about that tablet? I need some information about S-pen and İntel i5 7th gen. HD 630 Gpu. Could Expresii work them?

And, If I buy that tablet, could I transfer my licence to my new tablet.

Yes, I've tried the Samsung Galaxy Book. At first, I was excited because it's a Wacom pen (Wacom's intuos has always been able to sense pen tilt wile hovering), but than was disappointed to find out their pen doesn't support tilt sensing while hovering for this new Galaxy Book.

IMHO, if you don't need to paint on the go, it'd be better to use a desktop machine because you can use performance graphics (e.g. GTX 1050Ti 6GB) at a relatively lower cost. The latest generation of i7 with Iris Plus Graphics 640 found in tablets is barely as fast as a low-end desktop GPU. Also, Intel's GPU tend to give more error when using Expresii (because of graphics driver?). Another reason for desktop machine is that you will pair it with a graphics tablet that sense pen tilt (e.g. wacom intuos or Parblo A609, I haven't tried the latter) so that your hand is not blocking your view of the stroke/brush or the screen.

And don't worry about the license. You can always register again on the new machine. You can get Expresii on three of your machines at any given time, as long as you're the sole user.

I'm so glad to hear about your experience for Samsung Galaxy Book. I am very excited, because of I can use it for drawing anywhere I want.

The brush tilt is not working on my Bamboo pen also. I use right button on the pen and I can turn the brush. I think that, it is not important for now. Because, I will use that tablet for small pattern drawing and some sketchs.

I pay much attention for low FPS. I use 5x5 or 6x6 paper size on my computer. When I use that sizes then FPS is 70 or 80 and I dont get too many error message.

By the way, You are right about your opinion for desktop computers. I alreday have desktop computer but I dont use Windows on it. I am using GNU/Linux (Kubuntu) and I am excitedly waiting for Expresii on Linux or Anroid-x86(RemixOs or PhoenixOS).

The model we tested has i7 7660U and Iris Plus Graphics 640, and we can get up to 100+ FPS.

My drawing computer has got i3 4030u cpu and İntel hd4400 gpu now (Lenovo Horizon 2S). I guess, i5 7200u and İntel hd620 is better than my Lenovo. Can I ask your opinion?

I definitely recommend the latest generation. 4030U is two generations behind 7200U (The first digit indicates the generation) so definitely choose the 7200U over the 4020U.
The 7660U is of the same generation as the 7200U but is a faster model.

You can check the GPU (and CPU) performance in this site. e.g. when you serach for 'Intel Iris Plus 640':

So if you can afford it, definitely the 640.

Linux version of Expresii is not likely. If a version other than for Windows is coming, it'd be for Mac OS.
